• Clean your vase thoroughly. Any lingering bacteria will make your flowers wilt faster.
• Fill the vase two-thirds with fresh water.
  Add a small amount of sugar as food, and little vinegar to eliminate water bacteria, or if possible, mix a floral preservative into the water.
• Before putting flowers in water, trim diagonally about I or 2 inches at the bottom of each stem.
• Remove any foliage that will sit below the waterline to avoid build-up of debris. Leaves should never meet the water.
• Do not place the flower arrangement in a sunny place; it is preferable to put it in a cool and shady place.
• Flowers drink a lot of water! Add some more water depending on flower consumption.
• Change the water in the vase every few days, this will help keep your flowers fresh longer.

• Place your arrangement indoors, away from any direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents.
• Please don't place them directly under ceiling fans, on top of televisions or radiators.
• Keep the arrangement in a cool spot (65 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit).
• Golden Flowers Signature Boxes: Add a 2 ounces every other day from the middle into the base of the box if you feel the dryness of the floral sponge by filling with your finger.
• If needed, re-cut the stems by removing one inch with a sharp knife at a 45 -degree angle then place back into the water absorbed foam.

When unpacking, you may find some outer petals, guard petals, which look discolored or like they are wilting. Gently peel them away to allow roses to bloom. For better results, roses stems should be cut underwater, for preventing air bubbles from forming in the stem which can cause the roses to droop early.

Tip: if after a few days your roses start to droop, cut the stems underwater again and gently shake them to allow any air bubble to escape.
